The rest of our story..

Holy Toledo has been in the making since 2021. The Lord has put it on our hearts to start up a faith-based company of merchandise and accessories. With the guidance of the Lord, we are here today because of Him. Holy Toledo is a testimony to what He has done and is doing in our lives.

The Lord has never left us, never forsaken us. He has always been right beside us through every win and every storm in life. At a very young age, my son Max was very curious about God. He was actively seeking Him at the ripe age of 7 years old. We bought him his very first Bible. He decided to join a Reformed Synagogue in Norfolk, VA, where he would eventually go through Bar Mitzvah lessons.

In 2020, after being in Virginia for just a little over a year, Max’s dad decided to leave our home. My earthly father became very ill. It seemed like our entire world was shattering right in front of us. We were very broken and felt hopeless. The Lord knows every detail, the end to the beginning, the beginning to the end. He was preparing us for all that was happening. My father said to me, “Peggy, please go and find a church.” There was a lot of eagerness in his voice. He had never said this to me before. I knew it was serious. This was just three months before he passed away.

Fast forward to May 2021, Max was very much wrestling with whether to continue going to the Reformed Synagogue. He kept saying if the Messiah was Jewish and God the Father, why was he not learning about them. After we both did some research, prayed, and sought answers and wisdom from the Lord, we were led to Beth Messiah Synagogue, a Messianic congregation that believes in Yeshua. On our way to Beth Messiah, Max said, “I want what you have, Mom.” I asked him what he meant by that. He said, “No matter what bad is going on around you, you are happy and have this light about you.” I knew what he meant. Beth Messiah welcomed us with open arms, and before I knew it, Max was accepting the Lord as his Savior. Max was Bar Mitzvah at Beth Messiah on February 26, 2022.

Max and I were baptized on September 12, 2021, in our home. We had friends and family who flew in from other states and some who were watching online to witness our baptism. Max and I have been working on Holy Toledo. The name is in honor of my earthly father, Alfredo Aquiles Toledo. Both our Heavenly Father and my earthly father, and Max’s grandpa, led us to where we are today. We have a life full of love. I do not know how we did life without Yeshua before.

It is our mission to spread the Good News to the world and share what He has done in our lives and continues to do.

With all the gratitude and love,

Peggy Toledo and Max Goldstein

Thank you for those who made it to our Gathering in August and those who caught it online. The spirit of God was definitely in the midst. The testimonials were very powerful. There was not one dry eye. It is an amazing thing to witness all that God is doing in our Iives. The sermon/ word that Brother Joe Hammond gave was on point. We got to hear Brother Joe’s testimony as well. We were blessed with Baptisms and re dedications.

Here are some pictures of August 26th 2024. It was a beautiful summer day. The sun was shining and the spirit of the Lord was in our home.
